Mutations Guide Empty

Ever wonder what the money gained by posting is used for when it comes to pokemon or pokemorph characters who are not trainers? Well, to answer that, we have mutations. Mutations are "items" which, when bought, enhance a pokemon beyond it's usual means. This might be it's claws becoming sharper, or it's tail becoming prehensile, or perhaps a steelix growing a sharp blade like section on each of it's segments. These are treated like mini evolutions. They may not be used within a topic the character is already Rping in. Major ones require the mutation to be role played in a topic, such as the steelix example.

Mutations have a variable cost. While sharper claws or beaks might be cheap, some mutations can be far more expensive. An example would be growing a tail when the user does not already have one. This would cost a high cost compared to claws which one already has merely becoming sharper. Not to mention growing an entire tail is not an easy feat. The larger the mutation, the higher the cost. As a result, it's best to spend wisely. Once these are made (using the item template) a mod will choose the price after approval, then it is up to you if you want to buy it or not.

After each approved mutation, they will be added to the following list. In addition, only pokemon characters and pokemorph characters may purchase these. They may not be a trainer however. Any mutations will be un-done should they ever try to catch another pokemon. In addition, morphs can go from being more human than pokemon, to being more pokemon than human with these. Morph type changes are allowed, but are separate mutations and have no combat effect. They still cost money. Trying to become less pokemon and more human costs far more, but will be allowed.
