Orancia is No Place For a Sweet Little Ralts

As always, ghost pokemon littered Orancia citiy's streets, seeking constantly to cause mischief, and to torment anyone they could. In this case, anyone meant Ralts. It was just before dawn, and the poor thing was awoken by the presence of ghosts; they cluttered in the alley she was sleeping in. They were a very well known group of ghosts around here, and the other pokemon referred to them as the Gengar Gang. The gang was made up of a Ghastly, Haunter, and, their leader, a terrible Gengar. Ralts had no idea what they wanted with her, but she immediately took off when she saw them coming, and they pursued. If only she could make it until daybreak, someone might come out and spot her, and perhaps scare away the Gengar Gang.

Yamu walked contently through the neighborhood.Though it was dark and would possibly in-counter some ghost pokemon,he did not fret.In fact,he whistled cheerfully as he walked.Pequeno was in his pokeball,asleep.He sighed.Maybe he could a new pokemon here.He continued walking thinking of the thought until his thoughts were interrupted.He heard running.No,not running,scurrying.He looked at the source and saw a small figure come out the darkness.

Ralts spotted a trainer, walking in to the town. He looked friendly enough, so she immediately decided to make her way towards him. The shroud of darkness would soon recede to reveal a group of ghost type pokemon behind her. They chased after Ralts, clarifying as to why she was running. She was just out of the trainer's reach when she tripped over herself, and she quickly turned over to face the pokemon chasing her. Of them, Gengar quickly began to produce a shadowball, and launched it in her direction, paying no attention to the trainer that Ralts was seeking aid from.

As the figure got closer,he recongized it as a Ralts,a small one at that.Yamu immedately rushed over to it,now seeing the three pokemon chasing it.He quickly picked up the Ralts as the gnegar was forming a shadow ball.Once he fired,Yamu leaped to the left,the shadow ball barely passing him.He set the Ralts on the ground and stood the three pokemons' path."Want her?You gotta get through me!"He said,now angry as he got in a fighting stance.

Upon being picked up, Ralts almost broke out in to tears, but stopped herself when she realized that this man was going to save her. Gengar's frustration, however, was not calmed by this man, only amplified. He extended a single arm, and the Ghastly and Haunter that accompanied him floated forward. The Gastly released two black beams from it's eyes, aimed at Yamu. Night Shade wasn't a particularly powerful attack, but it could break the will of most humans easily. While Gastly attempted a direct assault, Haunter engulfed it's fist in a black aura, preparing to strike, should Yamu get too close. Frightened for her life, Ralts clung to the pants leg of her savior, hiding her face from the ghost types.

The beams neared Yamu quickly.He knew that if he dodged it,it would hit the Ralts,so he put his arms up in a blocking posistion.The beam struck him,moving him a foot back,but he thrashed his arms out,disapating the after-beam off him as he glared at the trio.He swung his left arms,using Razor Leaf.The leafs flew at the ghost types at a very fast speed.As the leafs flew,Yamu suddenly inhaled and exhaled a shot of water aimed directly at Gengar.He backed enough power into this water gun to send the little thing back into the alley.

The trio knew that this man was a pokemorph as soon as they saw him, but hadn't expected him to be so strong. Gastley's beam was easily taken, and he attempted to dodge the Razor Leaves coming at him, but was pulled back as a shield by Gengar's Psychic. After taking all the hits, Gastley collapsed with little conscience left. Gengar then jumped to the side, to avoid the blast of water coming at him. It wouldn't have done a whole lot of damage, but it had the potential force to send him flying.

Haunter, however, knew what he was doing, and ducked in close to land a Sucker Punch in Yamu's gut. Dodging a surprise attack like this would be tricky, but not with help of Ralts. Her connection to Yamu, through his leg, allowed her to teleport him back about three paces, and while it was very exhausting, it worked in protecting Yamu.

Yamu was uttlerly surprised.It seemed that Gengar cared for only its person safety,how gutless.He easily dodged the water gun,making Yamu mad yet,he felt rather sorry for the Ghastly,how he was just thrown away like that.Before he could react,the Haunter was upon him with a Sucker Punch but before it could land,the Ralts teleports him away by three feet.Yamu didn't question this as he swung his arm again,releasing a barrage of Razor Leafs at it.He then swung again,aimed at the Gengar.

Surprised by the miss, Haunter failed to avoid the Razor Leaf, and took the entire barrage just as Gastly had. Though this was at a much shorter range, and proved much more devastating. The stronger-than-Gastly Haunter dropped immediately after taking such a hit.

His posse now gone, Gengar stood readily before Yamu, destroying the leaves with a Shadow Punch. The others were awfully easy to take out, but Gengar would prove much more of a challenge. An evil grin grew on his face as he growled at Yamu, then his eyes drifted creepily to Ralts. Gengar licked his lips with a large tongue, and he readied himself for another shadowball.

OOC: Que Persona Music

The Haunter fell easily as the Gastly,leaving only the Gengar.Yamu looked at him with disgust yet,also with sympathy.He wondered if he could change.He notice the Gengar eyeing him,then the Ralts.Yamu's eyes narrowed.Immediatly as he did that,Yamu exhaled,using Icy Wind.He hoped to use this as a distraction and a attempt to freeze the creature.If frozen,Yamu would then bombard him with Razor Leaf and Water Gun.

OOC: The Person Music?

A gust of chilling wind escaped Yamu's mouth, the night air wrapping it's fingers around Gengar. The Shadow Ball left his hands, but before it could get far, it was reduced to a small teardrop of ice, which fell to the ground and shattered. Not only was the Shadow Ball frozen, but Gengar would soon become covered in ice as well. His response was to draw in the energy from his surroundings, charging a hyper beam, though he was frozen solid before it could be launched.

Yamu watched as the Gengar was frozen,slightly pleased with himself.He suddenly began swing his arms rapidly,a barrage of Razor Leafs hitting the frozen monster.When Yamu finally stopped,he inhaled deeply and let out a pressured Water Gun at the frozen Gengar.

Beneath the pressure of the Water Gun, the weakened ice began to crack. Starting, at the center of the forehead, and spiraling around the rest of Gengar's body. Just when it looked as though the ice was about to shatter, a bright beam escaped the ice, and propelled itself toward Yamu. A Water Gun against a half assed Hyper Beam is what this had come down to.

Yamu's eyes widen as the Hyper Beam clashed with the water gun.Given a water gun lasts as long as a exhale,the Beam quickly broke through and neared Yamu.The beam it-self was rather small,given it wasn't all the way charged,but it was powerful.Yamu instantly fell on his stomach,flat on the ground,making the Hyperbeam woosh over his and the Ralts head.He sighed in relief and got back up.

The ice was beginning to melt off of Gengar, and while he was still unable to move or attack, he smiled at the relative success of his attack. However, the smile quickly faded as Ralts ran over to him. With all the speed her tiny legs could produce, she launched herself in to a diving tackle at the frozen Gengar, tipping him to the side. Slowly but surely, he fell over before the ice had fully melted, and half of his body shattered.

Despite her strange victory, Ralts, instead of celebrating, began crying. For as she dove to knock down the Gengar, she acquired road rash from the slide. Ralts was in fact, wailing so loud that it would deafen a Diglett.

Yamu almost laughed at the Gengar,slowly tipping over like in the old cartoons.His smirk faded as the Ralts began crying loudly.He got up as fast as he could and picked her up as gently as he could.He almost rushed out of the alley when he heard two pained moans.He looked back and saw the Gastly and Haunter,writhing on the floor in pain.Without thinking,he took out two pokeballs out of his hair and threw one at the Gastly and one at the Haunter.The ball,of course,sucked them in and successfully captured them.He picked up the two balls,put them in his hair and ran to the Pokemon Center he passed when he first arrived.He entered frantically and presented the Nurse Joy with the little Ralts.She gasped and called several doctors.

Yamu stopped them before they can leave with the Ralts,taking the two pokeballs and presenting them with the severly wounded ghost pokemon.They called for a stretcher and took all three of them into different rooms.A nurse came and told Yamu to wait.So,he sat in the waiting room,which was connected with the entry room.He sat on a stool and waited patiently,tuning his banjo.

When Ralts was taken in to a room by strange looking people, her screaming and crying only grew louder. She was surrounded by strange people that she didn't know, and was unsure of their intentions. Ralts squirmed frantically, trying to get free from the doctors, but hardly even caused a problem for them, due to her small size and lack of physical strength.

Yamu could here her screaming,even from here.He felt terrible,but had a idea.After he finished tuning his banjo,he began to play,loud enough so he knew the Ralts could here him.He began speaking in pokemon,so she could perfectly understand him.It's a good thing he remebered the lullabies his mom sang to him as he began singing in a sweet and soothing voice."Hush, little baby, don't say a word.Papa's gonna buy you a mockingbirdAnd if that mockingbird won't sing,Papa's gonna buy you a diamond ring,And if that diamond ring turns brass,Papa's gonna buy you a looking glass,And if that looking glass gets broke,Papa's gonna buy you a billy goat,And if that billy goat won't pull,Papa's gonna buy you a cart and bull,And if that cart and bull turn over,Papa's gonna buy you a dog named Rover,And if that dog named Rover won't bark,Papa's gonna buy you a horse and cart ,And if that horse and cart fall down,You'll still be the sweetest little baby in town..."Yamu sang sweetly,playing his banjo just right so it could sound soothing.

Heads turned when Yamu began playing, no doubt, but Ralts began to calm down. Her screams were hushed, and her crying had ceased. The sound of Yamu's voice singing to her made her happy, and she looked up from the small ball shape she had forced herself in to. Eventually her face expressed a smile, and she lay flat on the hospital bed.

Yamu smiled as the Ralts soon hushed.He knew she would only calmed down when she could hear him.He sighed contently as his thoughts went to the Gastly and Haunter.They'll probably going to smack him.He laughed awkwardly to himself as he picked up his banjo and began playing again

2 hours later........

Yamu snored loudly as the magazine covered his face and soaked up his drool."Sir."Nurse Joy called merrily as she neared him.Yamu continued snoring."Sir?"She said,lightly kicking his leg."Huh?"He said sleepily."Your required in Room 34"She said and led him there.He stopped mid-way through the doorway.

In the room, Ralts sat happily on her knees, looking at Yamu. Though she still shied away from others, a smile was on her face. Ralts soon found herself at the edge of the bed, reaching out for Yamu to pick her up, almost like a human infant. Ralts' uniquely black hair swayed side to side as she spoke for the first time. "Ralts." It wasn't any actual word in the pokemon language, just her name.

Yamu held back the urge to glomp Ralts.She was adorable.He went over to here and picked her up,holding her close."Sir,the other two pokemon are awake,do you wish to see them?"Ask a elderly doctor.He wore glasses and was balding,but he had the loving look of a grandfather."Sure."Yamu said,prepared for the worse.The elderly man led him into the room.There were the duo,the Gastly and the Haunter.

They seemed to be conversing before Yamu arrived"I'll leave you three alone."Said the man and he left.The three's eyes locked onto each other's.Not in wrath or anger,just seemingly awkwardness.They really didn't know what to say or do.They knew he killed Gengar,but he was a jerk eitherway."Soooooo...."The Haunter said in pokemon,scratching the back of his head awkwardly."Soooo..."Yamu replyed back,unsure himself.

Ralts, frightened of course by the appearance of her recent assailants, scurried up Yamu's body, and in to his hair. She hid her self in the canopy, and behind the miniature trees that protruded from his head. Once in a while she would peek out to look at the two ghosts, chilled by their naturally evil aura.

"Why did you chase her?"Yamu said in a serious voice,crossing his arms as Ralts climbed."Cause he made us."Replied the Gastly."The Gengar?"Ask Yamu,though he already knew the answer."Yea,dang little creep kept making us follow along with his attacks."Said the Haunter."Why didn't you fight back against him?"Ask Yamu,taking Ralts out of his sombreo and holding her close.The duo went silent for a moment."We needed him..."Uttered the Gastly."Needed?""Yea...we couldn't find any food on our own and it isn't like those humans will feed us.Now Marrow,he always gets food from somewhere.So,we joined his gang."Yamu was slightly dumbstruck at this."So you guys are alone?""Yup,just me and Algol.""Algol?""That's me.""Ah."

Struggling to hold on to one of the trees, as Yamu pulled her away, Ralts eventually was forced to let go, and curled up in to a ball once more. As the others discussed the previous matter, she found fascination within the hair of Yamu's beard, and began pawing at it in an almost cat-like way. After a while, Ralts grew comfortable, and she calmed down.
